Life is a conundrum of esoterica
I love computing on the cloud. It has so many upsides with a little downside. A machine on the cloud can run for years without interruption. It’s so easy to make a backup snapshot of a machine and you get production grade hardware without actually investing in a data centre or paying ridiculously high prices for a single machine. You basically outsource the management of the hardware and most part of the software so that you can only focus on the task you want to achieve.
The only downside being, you compromise on the privacy of your data. It just comes down to how much you trust that the data you upload on a cloud is safe in the hands of the third party. You can always encrypt the data you upload on the cloud but it’s not feasible in most cases.
